Nancy was born in Boston, Massachusetts and raised in southern New Hampshire. She attended Saint Anselm College where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. She continued her education at Yale University where she graduated with a Master of Science Degree in Nursing.

Nancy joined GCC in 2007 and her special interest includes inflammatory bowel disease research. She also earned the designation Certified Clinical Research Professional in 2014.
